we have had nothing but hassle with them since he started in september.Firstly they didnt have escort cover so they just didnt turn up and so we had to take him for a week and odd days, now they have sorted the escort cover they are now just turning up when they fancy.
Twice this week (bearing in mind its only thursday) they have turned up 3 minutes before he is due to start school, and he is the first pick up they have another child to pick up after him.All i get is sorry traffics bad,but they are bloody taxi drivers im sure they know alll about rush hours and busy trafficAngry.
On the occations we have had to take DS it takes us 30 mins and thats without picking up other kids so what blooming time is my son getting to school.
Its really impacting on his anxiety as he gets more and more upset as he doesnt know whos turning up if anybody,is he going with mum and dad or taxi gr i think its official i can handle autism, meltdowns and no sleep but SEN transport might just tip me over the egde...
Thankyou for listening to me moan i might feel better now before i phone and complain YET again.

who are you going to contact? transport or taxi company? if i was you i would contact both and put a complaint in, it's not nice for anyone not knowing if taxi will turn up or not and must cause your ds a lot of stress

Both.He is so stressed on a morning it is impacting him all day.
It better be sorted in the morning or im keeping him home.I dont know how they think its ok because im sure if i dropped him of at least half an hour late each day then the school would be blaming me.
They have both apologized but they just dont get that its such a big issue to him and think its not a big deal.

Talk to your son's teacher and get the school to put in a complaint that your DS and another child are frequently late for school and that it is not acceptable. It is possible that there are children in other taxis who are having the same problem - it happened at ds's school when there were changes to who provided the buses and they kept a log; which was passed to transport. They may take more notice of the school than they do of you (they shouldn't but it happens).

Our DS gets council transport 1x week and taxi 1x week (residential school) ....the Council transport is always good and on time but taxi was 30 mins and more late so would take 3 hours to get home on a friday as it was now meeting rush hour traffic. I phoned the council transport and of course he knew nothing about it and so he spoke to the taxi firm and now it is much better. At the end of the day the taxi firm will want to keep the contract with council so I would complain away until it is right .

Clearly the transport is proving stressfull to the child. This is unlawful - Hereford and Worcester referes. Explain to the Transport Mananger what the problems are and ask for an alternative routing that does get him to school in a less stressed state. Mums stress level does not count.
