British gas customers and DLA

Just seen this on another site I am on and thought it might help some people

If you are a British Gas customer and claim benifits including DLA or carers allowance ring 0845 602 2008 and press 1 for winter fuel benifet.Have your customer reference number handy.Claims must be in by 5pm on the 31st Dec 05,office is open til 5pm.

I think that all the utilities and other services provide some sort of "special" benefits for disabled customers. We are registered with most but have never seen any great benefit. Maybe we need a big break down to find out, rather not in that case!

Bit late now though

We had our loft insulated free of charge through one of these utilities schemes. Would have cost a fair bit to have paid someone to do it, so definitely worth investigating

They have extended this offer as it was so popular, i applied today as a dual fuel i will get £60!
