"Best scooter ever, in the world!!!" (happy thread)

Just wanted to share, [grin]. Ds went OUT TO PLAY!!!!! got him a new (second hand) scooter, when dh asked is it the best scooter ever, ds replied "in the world!!!" [grin] then proceeded to scoot round the square of path round the grass which is in the centre of our close. Lots of other kids were out too, and some of them were saying 'hello Ds" and a couple of the boys came over on their scooters and he went off and scooted round with them.... [grin] [grin] This is HUGE! ( I sat on the wall with a cup of tea and watched... and I called him in after 10 mins or so.) But he went out to play!!! There isn't anywhere else that I could post that I am astonished and thrilled that my nearly 5 year old played with other kids for 10 minutes under my (distance) supervision and they would understand and celebrate with me. I do so value you all, [grin]
