That's great Lou - am i right in thinking it is a new school? How is he getting on? Sounds like they are being inclusive at least .

awwwwwwwww

They are a fabulous nursery. His last offical day was yesterday, but he went in for the play this morning. I sent a few bunches of flowers in yesterday to say thank you. It will be v hard to cut ties with them, ds1 went there too, and they have gone above and beyond the call of duty with ds2, especially the last few weeks since h and i separated (they have been picking him up and dropping him off so he can attend).

However it looks like i may have a job there when i am driving, so i may well yet have an excuse to go back

they do sound fabulous lou, picking up and dropping must have saved you a hell of a stress

and the job sounds fab too, have you started driving yet?

lou33 · 16/12/2005 15:36

is it just a formality? i seem to remember from a friend its just a 'length of time' thing

good luck with it anyway

driving will be a godsend for you, yes?

lou33 · 16/12/2005 16:52

well i have been seizure free for a year so it should be, but the run up to xmas etc, will probably make things drag on a bit. I want to be driving by spring, it will make a huge change in my life.

Aaah, Lou, that's lovely - hey my DS is starting school in Jan, and is Joseph in his nursery nativity (next week) too.
I started a countdown thread in Education for those of us with january starters!

What did his role as Joseph entail? My DS is a bit indignant that the main story set in the carpenters shop gets interrupted by some angel with a sub-plot about a baby being born....

lou33 · 16/12/2005 18:01

I'm not really about that much now blu, so i missed your thread. Ds2 should have started in sept, but because he couldnt go to our first choice school the whole adaptation process had to start from scratch at a new one (surveys, costings etc),but its all looking good now, the electric doors have been fitted, new ramps and stuff, plus wheelchair services are going to get him an electric wheelchair so he can keep up with his mates!

His role entailed crawling up and down the hall (he didnt want to use his chair), to reenact the journey to Bethlehem, followed by sitting down in his sn chair, centre stage, while beaming his head off, and awaiting the arrival of the 3 wise men to bring him gifts

Then they all sang some xmas carols, before the nursery staff brought out cava and mince pies, which i happily accepted.

lou33 · 16/12/2005 18:08
