How to go about finding a good private OT?

Hello

A friend's DS has been put on the waiting list for an OT assessment. Trouble is, the waiting list is 18 months Sad. By this time, he will be starting year 6, which is far too late imo.

So, she is looking into getting him assessed privately. School say they will work with a private OT, but can't recommend one. Where to look - a quick google isn't that helpful Hmm. Friend is in the SE.

TIA

Hope you've found someone. I found the COTSS website a bit painful as we live on the border of about 6 counties! I also posted a specific question on the forum here asking for recommendations around my city. All the initial googling only led to me finding loads of job vacancies for paediatric OTs!!! Anyway, we found a lovely lady and she did our assessment and has gone on to help my DS loads. Hope you are having similar success.
