to take school refusing dd1 back to school this afternoon or not?

Dd1 refused to go to school this morning, through a strop in the car and refused to get out, said she had a head ache, TA tried to coax her out but had no luck. Dd1 started the school last week (so its all a bit new), she said she is struggling to make friends and no one answers her when she call's their names or asks to play.

Since i brought her home she seems fine and is now in the garden sat on her trampoline, i have suggested to her that i take her into school for the afternoon but she's saying 'no'. Should i take her in or leave it and try again tomorrow (she has promised that she will go in tomorrow)?

I would maybe leave her at home for today but be really firm tomorrow - good luck

How's DD2 settling in?

I took her in , she seemed to be happy and showing no signs of illness, we had a long talk and i agreed to go in with her and talk to the teacher, Dd1 cried a little but went in (its only for 2 hours), i do feel a little bit meen but i know it will be 10 times worse in the morning if i hadn't of taken her in.

Dd2 is loving it, has had a few wobbles, first day and then on monday after the weekend, but goes in fine and comes home happy. I thought she would be the one i had problems with not dd1 .

Oh I know exactly how you feel marne and so sorry that you are having to go through this. Dd3 used to cry and not want to go to school.

I hope someone is able to help your Dd to.settle in.

Glad it went well this afternoon. It's difficult sometimes, but I agree if you'd waited until morning, it might've been much more difficult tomorrow. The build up, and all that. Well done for getting through it. It's so stressful for you, but sounds like she managed okay.
