Thought I'd bag this nn then.

(Tis EllenJane)

AnansiGirl · 01/08/2011 10:07

I've always been a supporter of Righteous Indignation, although the SN Morality Police is also something I've been called on MN. Professionally Offended is also a fond memory for me.Grin

TwuntyBollocksBrigade · 01/08/2011 10:15

Ooh, I do like 'professionally offended.' I think it's a good opportunity to take those insults back and make them our own badge of honour.

drivemecrazy63 · 01/08/2011 10:15

but he was Autistic not NT and the point is it says he was laughing at something funny just louder than everyone else not being "naughty" or causing offence or kicking chair in front bloody laughing at a funny bit in film ...ok ok we shall hide them under the stairs make a lot of "you" happy

TwuntyBollocksBrigade · 01/08/2011 10:20

No, drive, this was another child, in a cinema, not the one in the theatre that made the press. TBH I think we concluded that the OP in AIBU made the incident up, or 'embellished' it to try to stir up trouble.

AnansiGirl · 01/08/2011 10:34

Is there an easy way to namechange? Last time I did it, it was very complicated.

StarlightMcKenzie · 01/08/2011 10:42

Oh my, if I had the time or money to be professional offended.........

EllenJaneisnotmyname · 01/08/2011 11:03

AnansiGirl, I went on to my profile, had to log in, went to registration details, typed in new nn, and saved. The hardest bit was typing in my email from my phone keypad!

EllenJaneisnotmyname · 01/08/2011 11:05

But, Star, imagine being paid to be offended. It would almost be worth it. Actually, no it wouldn't, would it. Sad

ProfessionallyOffendedGoblin · 01/08/2011 11:07

Thank you EllenJane.
I am a teacher and a parent, so I do get paid to be aware of discrimination and am expected to challenge it. Smile

TheNinjaGooseIsOnAMission · 01/08/2011 11:12

goblin, there's a transfer profile button on the bit ellen mentions too, if you use that facility.

I only saw the start of the original thread but it's good to see mnhq being a bit more active on this.

before I sign up to the selfish prat twunty bollocks brigade, what's the uniform like Grin I can also do professionally offended but it will have to be during school hours and with holidays off.

EllenJaneisnotmyname · 01/08/2011 11:21

Hmm, 'Colour me Beautiful' say purple suits everyone!

coff33pot · 01/08/2011 11:48

oooh! purple! niccccccccccce!

Grin
TheNinjaGooseIsOnAMission · 01/08/2011 11:53

hope it doesn't make me look too pale.

does the passing out parade involve gin at all [hopeful]

nenevomito · 01/08/2011 12:18

I'm not sure about purple, but am willing to pass our on gin Grin

ProfessionallyOffendedGoblin · 01/08/2011 12:20

Love deep purple. Looks good with silver hair!

EllenJaneisnotmyname · 01/08/2011 12:29

Gin does not a uniform make!

(But it does sound more fun.)

coff33pot · 01/08/2011 12:46

Well I think the parade should start first so we will all walk in a nice straight line Grin

Then photo shoot with our new badges and we could throw our SN nappies in the air for maximum effect in the photo seeing as we have graduated into 'Twunty Bollocks' Grin

Then an initiation of gin, wine oh and I am partial to a baileys in my coffee sounds goooooood

EllenJaneisnotmyname · 01/08/2011 12:57

There's talk of flutes on the 'brigade' thread in chat, and goblin is suggesting wheelchair outriders a la Ben Hur chariots.

coff33pot · 01/08/2011 12:59

hahahahahahahaa! love it!

Jonnyfan · 01/08/2011 15:36

EllenJane- if reporting the contents of the threads, would it not be fair to point out that the OP of the second thread, who was the one you are accusing of calling you "twunty bollocks" brigade actually explained several times that she was quoting posters on the original thread who were- she thought-able to get threads deleted, and who were abusive to others.
Just in fairness, mind, cos that's what we all want :)

nenevomito · 01/08/2011 16:33

It wasn't a quote from the original thread which is why I called them on it.

TwuntyBollocksBrigade · 01/08/2011 16:53

And it was the 'brigade' bit that I objected to, and that wasn't in speech marks. That was straight from the OP, who just picked a few random expletives said on the first thread, apparently, (but that had been deleted so she/he was guessing) and called us an 'expletive expletive (from the other thread, so that's fine Hmm ) expletive' brigade who just don't want 'discussion.'

TwuntyBollocksBrigade · 01/08/2011 16:57

First time on the SN board, Jonnyfan? What an auspicious start. You are, of course, very welcome.

coff33pot · 01/08/2011 17:37

Well Jonnyfan the thing is over here we are taking the insult on the chin. Mothers of SN children get called and accused of allsorts so we kind of got broad shoulders iyswim Wink

And the best way to deal with insult?..............to laugh in its face together Grin

oh and welcome by the way.
