Well it was sports day today and we had to go and watch my other dd in her races and ds (poss AS) had to come as I couldnt make other arrangements.
Well my mum came with us...........now to help you here as to why I am telling you this story is that DS is obsessive with guns as I have said before. The school are making a BIG thing on this as he is quite explicit with his imagination and leads to endless answers to questions for me that NOOOO he doesnt watch violent films and NOOOO he doesnt play violent games he is just a boy playing guns like other boys but because he knows they (guns) kill he will tell you he is going to kill you now (not shoot you iyswim) Anyway school are paranoid of this as he tends to go into "imaginary world mode" within school. And they have started to say he has "violent fantasies" example DS in playground walks up to another child and play fight for a few mins then off he goes. Other child is still playing fighting or ben 10 that is ok but DS? because he is still shooting hedges on his own it is a "violent fantasy". Well my mother thinks it is rediculous as boys will be boys. She is great and when I thought it was going to be difficult to tell her of DS issues it turned out the opposite! she has researched and read up and watched programmes to help herself understand his problems and I love her for it. But I love her even more today!
Well ....there we are in the huge field with lots of ppl. DS agitated decides to climb tree. BIG stares from other NT parents as per the norm as their darlings are sitting nicely on grass etc he wasnt bothering anyone and was quiet watching the race out of the way of the people. My mother doesnt bat an eyelid and says she will take him off for a wonder. There was sticks and leaves and allsorts of interesting boy treasure around the back of the field. DS finds feathers.......cones and sticks. Next thing he was pretending to shoot a helicopter going by in the air with his stick. He was miles away from disturbing racing etc. But the sighs and looks said it all..........I was just about to break up his fun when my mum just jumped behind a bush stuck two of the feathers in her head..........picked up a stick and said "now we are indians and if you carry on staring I am going to shoot you with my stick too!" looked down at her GS and said "boy........we are on the same side!" hahahahahaaa! I just plain cracked up it was so funny to see their faces!
