Harrys home from hospital

Hi, just to let everyone know that Harry is now home from hospital. His latest chest xray shows that the infection is slightly worse in the left lung, so he is on stronger anti biotiics. The only problem with antibiotics is that they give him severe diorheah (i have been covered at least 3 times per day). He has been on anti reflux meds since he was one and is fed via a micromax pump into his gastrostomy tube slowly over two hours, 4times per day and this has so far stopped the reflux. However, drs now think that the reflux is back cos he is bringing back at least half of every feed and he appears uncomfortable after feeding. The next step is an operation. There are two ops, one is simple, one is complicated...guess which one he needs???
But at least we are at home.

Glad you're home for now dizzy. What a rollercoaster. Enjoy being at home and I wish you all well for the further treatment he needs. Poor wee chap.

Thinking of you all, at this really difficult time, in particular your poor little lamb.

I'm so glad Harry's home again.

Sorry you're having to deal with the side-effects of the antibiotics and the worry of the op. xxx

Hi Dizzy

So pleased that little Harry is out of hospital .

Sorry to hear about the effects of the antiboitics - must be awful for you both - and the operation.

Hope you got some answers from the gastro doc dizzy. The fundo is pretty complex isn't it - hope what they're planning isn't too much worse Bless him.

Glad you're home, sounds like it has been an horrendous time for you all.
I hope Harry improves soon, and good luck for the op.... Sounds very scary xxxxxx

Thanks again everyone,
i ahve spoke to the gastro doc today. He said if they do the 'fundo' op it will only work for a bit, and so he wants to do a (prob spelt this wrong but this is what it sounds like) biankey-sounds like bee- ann - key. Still having a really hard time. i am so tired, Harry has cried today for about 10 hours solid. i just cant help him, i dont know what to do for him. spoke to his neurologist and dietician today and if he is no better tomorrow we have to go back in hospital. i am so fed up, i keep trying to snap out of it but i cant. Please dont think i am fed up of Harry cos i love him to bits and wouldnt be without him, i just wish i knew what was wrong with him. i have replied to your email doormat, thank you for getting in touch.
