whats "right" behavour/development and what's not??

i often wonder this, my little boy has been making great progress especially with speech but he is obsessed with colours and the size of things, he says the colour then object or the size then object. he will say baby for small and mamam for big then object... i find it strange, hes not doing it with everthing but most things, maybe im worrying over nothing but i just find it odd, he has a vocab of under 100 words yet links colours to things? size to things? hes 2 and 6months we have a caf next week

but how do you know whats normal? xx

If you have a CAF, then someone is concerned about his development....

The professionals at the CAF meeting should know if this is 'normal' or not.....

the ican and afasic websites (www.ican.org.uk, www.afasic.org.uk) have some useful general guidance about normal language development. With something like this (interest in colours/sizes) it would be more significant as part of a pattern of communication problems, than on its own.
