5 yr old pulling his 'willy' out his nappy!

i know it sounds funny, and god love him i really dont mind if he wants to play with it! he's only 5 after all!

but he's quite severely autistic and doesnt talk and is still in nappies.

the problem is its really annoying him. he seems to be getting upset with it! he's pulling it out his nappy and then it might get stuck in the elastic of his nappy or trousers. and then of course its facing up and pee ends up everywhere.

this is also happening about 5am every morning and is waking him up, he's crying, wet, etc.

his sleep is erratic enough without this as well.

has anyone any experience of this. i'm hoping its just a phase, but is there anything i can do in the meantime?

My ds is 5 and is playing alot with his willy at the moment including trapping it in waist bands. He says he likes it there, just to make sure its not gone .

I have no answers though. I'm trying just tucking it back it and suggesting if he's worried its gone he just has a grope down there . Probably will lead to problems later when groping around down there won't be accepted but then having your willy hanging out isn't acceptable either.

I have a dd that constantly has her hands down there (yes, girls do it too), she sleeps with her hand in her nappy, she has got better at school thanks to the teacher and TA constantly saing 'take your hands out your pants' .

Fledglings also do the all in one pjs shorties and long legs and poppers down the back.hth
