Finally - a sensible person at the DLA

I posted last month about sending a claim in August for the Mobility component of DLA and being told that, although I was still waiting on their decision, I still had to send them a Renewal claim pack by 31/12/05 - the original Care component claim runs out in March 2006. Well, I've just phoned them again because I received a reminder letter and I really wasn't looking forward to filling out the same forms twice in 3 months!
The woman I spoke to this morning said that my claim had been processed on Tuesday and I should receive the letter by the weekend. Although she said she couldn't give out claim decisions over the phone, she said that I DID NOT have to fill in the Renewal claim.
So............reading between the lines, it looks as if we've got the Higher Rate Mobility for my 3 year old ds
