Boots sell big bags of it for about £4

I buy mine here

And yes, it really is as simple as chucking a cupfull in. I do that every second night....

(Read that somewhere but can't remember where....)

Strange as it may sound I buy mine at the garden centre! Works out a lot cheaper than a health food shop and its the same stuff. Wouldn't recommend it though for internal use........btw I suffer from psoriasis (sp?) and the garden centre stuff doesn't cause any ill-effects Smile

bizarro question - anyone know if it is sold as the same thing in canada?

i fear getting amazon to deliver internationally might be a bit excessive. Grin

One cup in a whole bath isn't a lot. You don't notice it on your skin.

It's always hard to tell what's helping and what's not. My normal stance on cheap and easy and safe things like this is if you can afford it give it a go.

It makes me soooooo tired when I put it in my bath that I very rarely have the luxury of using it. Ie either time for a bath, or time to go straight to bed after the bath. But, yes I'm fairly sure it helps the kids sleep better and a whole host of other things.

It might be called something else in Canada. It's magnesium sulphate.

So, are the Epsom Salts just like other relaxing bath minerals? Could give them a go myself - I'm usually a shower person but... :)

bochead · 27/03/2011 20:58

Yup - I tried them with DS only cos he's always nicking his Gran's radox after hearing it coud help on a thread : )

IndigoBell · 28/03/2011 07:57

CP - they're just salt that you put in the bath. But they're made up of magnesium sulphate and the theory is that a lot of kids with ASD / ADHD / dyspraxia / dyslexia etc are deficient in magnesium.

And being deficient in magnesium causes all sorts of problems. We use it as part of our ongoing program to help reduce DSs stress.
