Having just spent such a lovley day with her yesterday ad having time on my hands at the end of the day, thougth i'd share......

We went to a local kids farm and had such a laugh.
There was a goat show. LOL, all they did was poke their heads out of doors, but oh my goodness the excitment of it. She was SO loud! I was crying with laughter! "ohhhhh NOOOOOOOOO, look mummy - goat, ohhhhhhh noooooooooo, loooooooooooookkkkkkkkkkk - allo goat"! with her happy hands!
Then it was feeding the pigs - and OMG! The excitment of it, pure bliss to behold.
Then she held her hand flat for the baby goats and I was so surprised she allowed them to eat from her hand, that was a first, she normally hates too close contact with animals like that, loves them but from afar usually.
Oh and the tractor ride - my friend took her on and she didn't shut up,'ohh loooooooookkkkkk' at EVERYTHING! If my friend was talking to someone she would get her cheek and turn her to her to make sure she was being listened to!
Then lastly the slide. She did happy hands all the way down and was trembling with excitment at the bottom. It was the biggest slide she's been on so far and she LOVED it! She wanted to come down on her tummy, again a first and when she got to the bottom she got on hands and knees and tried to crawl back up, obviously going nowhere, so, so funny to watch cos she got that nothing was happening and thought it was hysterical, which it was.

Then we got home and she was doing that standing but with hands on floor looking through her legs at us, which nearly killed her with laughing. Then she went from that to letting me tuck her head under a bit more and going into a forward roll. Huge laughter and as she was going over she was saying 'more mummuy, more'.

She aloso cruised/ walked this weekend. The whole length of the bath, standing on floor, holding onto edge she edged from one end to the other. Then later she pulled herself up on my knees when I was sat on sofa and she walked into me to kiss my tummy.

She stroked the bump and said 'owww hurt mummy' becasue she's done quite a bit of climbing all over me recently and a couple of times I've said 'owww'. The she pulled my top down over the bump, having pulled it up to kiss it and say 'ello bebe', and as she pulled my top down she said 'sssssh, bebe sleep, night night bebe'!

right gush over, and nearly time to go home, great

See what I mean !!!

madmummyof2 · 17/10/2005 20:01

aww thats lovely.
i agree about the good days giving you strength to fight through the bad.

ThomBat · 17/10/2005 20:32

Agree about good days like that making rubbish days bearable.

I got in from work tonight and she made me a pretend cup of tea, bless her, then daddy had to have some and then 'Dedder' aka Fletcher the cat.
Every time each of us, inc the cat pretended to have a sip those little happy hands sprung up round her face.

God she's gorgeous!

Oh that is just so lovely!!!

She sounds so so so so cute!!!

ThomBat · 17/10/2005 21:07

I feel the need to say she's also a bloody pain in the backside who whinges every time the buggy comes to a stop while out trying to do some banking / shopping etc. BUT, yes, she is bloody cute and totally fab as well

I'm always saying things like that!!!

Everyone says "Oh she's gorgeous" My reaction ....."yes, we can rent her out for overnight stays"!!

Or "Oh isn't she so loving" My reaction "Good Grief, you should see her bashing her chin on the wall, and the tantrums....." lol

She's also not to keen on the buggy stopping!!! Hate it that I am rocking a 4 year old backwards and forwards like you would a 6 month old!

LIZS · 17/10/2005 21:20

aww. She is really going to love the baby. I hope you keep a note of all her achievements, however small, and "moments".

ThomBat · 17/10/2005 21:23

I do keep a journal yes, but thanks for the reminder, will write in it again tonight.

Ohhh Annie, I do that rocking back and forth thing sometimes when she's whinging and then think 'ohhhh what am I doing?'

How old is Lottie ? is she around Grace and Ellies age? (4)

ThomBat · 17/10/2005 21:28

Yes she is, she'll be 4 on 17th December.

anniebear · 17/10/2005 21:31

Thought she was.

I could imagine Ellie saying all those things that Lottie said.

It made me smile lots!!

At the moment all we get is "I like your boobies Mummy" or "I like your bottom Mummy" lol

hunkerpumpkin · 17/10/2005 22:26

TC, which farm was this you went to?

eidsvold · 17/10/2005 22:47

that is great TC can just see her.... the cruising is fab.... however like you when everyone goes on about dd1 - i feel the need to tell them she is not so fab all the time.... it must be a thing - my TWO dds hate the buggy/trolley coming to a stop when out shopping or somewhere.

marthamoo · 17/10/2005 23:27

I love Lottie

Blossomhowl · 18/10/2005 08:24

Sounds like you both had such a lovely day.

Gush away, it's so lovely to read positive things and sounds like with the cruising and the chatting Lottie is doing lately you have every right to!
