Can I have a little cheer for DS

Who has had a shower today after not having one (or a bath) for 4 weeks. :) Blush

He is 4 (ASD) and has a massive phobia about water and things being wet. I dont want to terrify him even more than he already is ( I promise its not a lazy mum thing, he is properly petfified, even though I feel so bad) so I havent pushed him. I ask him every day if he would liek a shower and he normally gets upset at the mere mention.

We only managed about 20 seconds and he kept his nappy on, but we did it :o

Fantastic news well done mini marioGrin.

I am sure this will sound stupid but have you tried going in the shower and holding him as in hugging and just letting a small amount of water go on say his legs or something.

Just a thought as this is how I got Dd3 used to going in the shower before we started going camping.

It won't work if he doesn't like being held though, it would never have worked with my Dd1.
