I feel your pain - just as we seem to be learning to cope with one; another one or two come along to add to the loooooong list.

We have the 'no gaps allowed' thing as well. Curtains can be completely open,or closed, but no intermediate states allowed

I'm thinking of getting some stick-on velcro strips for the curtains and window edges,it might help.

my DS has some of the above and the spiders/fluff any insect and the gore and babies (that one can be embarassing) he dislikes babies and finds them vile as they wee/poo/puke and scream all the things he dislikes most cousin just had a baby and he calls it a thing or it which upsets babys mum Confusedcupord doors have to be open a bit now tht drives me crazy that one lol

It does get better Grin, dd1 used to have loads of phobia's (females, bugs, the hoover, helicopters) but has now gotton over all of them.

I have a puke phobia and i have had it as long as i can remember Sad, i am having CBT to try and help.

Ineedalife · 03/02/2011 13:22

Hmm I am the curtain phobe in our houseGrin.

Dd3 hates spiders, she wouldn't go in the porch to get her shoes on the other day because she thought there were spiders in there.

She also hates the vacuum, house alarms, peas and the dark.

But our most unusal one at the moment is cheese scones. Dd2 made some at school and Dd3 couldn't bear to even look at themConfused.

She has outgrown some though.

Good luck with the CBT marne.

Grin its probably easier to list the things ds is not phobic about , scones made me giggle thoughi can just see my ds if that was one of them giving the bread isle in asda a wide birth, most of these ds runs and screams too dont think that will go down too well in asda lol

Ineedalife · 03/02/2011 14:03

Luckily Dd3 doesn't realise you can buy them in the shops. Otherwise I don't think she would go down the bread aisle either.

I will have to keep a look out though because she gagged just at the sight of some in a box last time she saw someHmm.
I can just picture her thowing up on the floor in Asda Blush.

ds2 can't look at Jam Tarts, so obviously his lovely kind brother takes great delight in waving them in front of him, brotherly love eh!
