Oh my goodness - just an update and hopefully to those still fighting - keep going.

I have started many threads, with many questions and and times been desperate.

I received the appeal documents last week, this morning out of the blue an award letter after being turned down, reconsideration and appeal arranged.

I had absolutely bombarded them by email (so I had paper trail) pointed out their mistakes and basically said see you in court -although inside I was quacking and seen Doctor for stress.

Ds has been awarded high on both counts, backdated to July 2010.

Just wanted to share news to hopefully spur someone on who is feeling how I did and to thank you so much for your help.

Now I can get councelling and specialist advice to make him the man I know he can be

well done you :) how long did you get it for?

2 years so till July 2012, but to be honest if I can get counselling and speciallist treatment privately I will be ecstatic if it gets dropped or taken away because his needs have been reduced Smile

Lovely lovely lovely lovely lovely news Smile

Good for you. Your DS has a feisty mummy fighting his corner. He can't lose!

DD2 DLA pays for her private specialist preschool, made a huge difference :)

thanksguys, my ds is 11 and struggling with secondary school.

That is another fight - they dont believe he has SEN because it took me six years for someone to help my family and listen instead of me being anxious and my ds extremely badly behaved and lazy, rude, the list is endless

But I think I will take his award letter and take it from there Grin
