Please could you take a look at this mn campaign to get DLA mobility allowance for some under 3's.

IT's vital for some families who have children in sn puschairs/ have lots of equipment such as oxygen to carry around each day who are under the age of 3.

Please add your support.

Thanks

is there one for keeping it for people in residential homes as well?

sleepysox · 26/01/2011 21:18

I haven't seen one on mn, but there's a 'stop the abolishment of DLA' one that's going great guns. I think mn are thinking about doing a combined approach as there are so many DLA issues atm.

I just want to make sure the mobility for some under 3's doesn't get lost along the way.

I know, I do understand, but surely if they are stopping it for people in residential care, they won't be able to then say oh but we will now give it to under 3 years old.
(disclaimer been there with a 3 yr old and loads of heavy equipment)

Well hopefully they will neither stop it for those living in residential care nor continue to refuse to consider under 3s Jimmy, I dont think it has to be an either/or.

Thanks sleepysox, am taking a look at it now to see if I can sign. (Some campaigns need you to be in the UK to sign it directly).

Where I am we have no arbitrary lower age-limit on our equivalent payment.

Ah, its a thread to see if you can get support for a campaign. Have signed onto it. If you can face it, you may want to consider one of those "AIBU to ask you to support lowering the DLA age-limit" type threads. If youre feeling strong enough [bwink] it will at least be seen more there!

MN have agreed to back the campaign, I just want to make sure it doesn't fizzle out.

I'm not brave enough to post on AIBU beachholiday just yet, but might do later on. I'm worried, because not everyone on mn is positive towards disability and I don't want to be flamed!
