It has come to my attention that there is a coalition who are claiming to be "run and managed by disabled people for disabled people." However this group of disabled people do not think that parents of disabled children fall into the criteria.
I am absolutely outraged and deeply offended. We are often more involved with the shortfalls in all aspects of the services offered. Have any of this coalition ever faced a tribunal for a statement of education? Or fought for direct payments just to get through the day? Perhaps we need to petition to have adult services and children's services segregated?
What are your views? Should all charities, organisations or services who cater for disabled people and children services adopt this rather militant approach?
Looking forward to hearing your views.
