Hi everyone!

For once I am not ranting or asking questions(usually the same one put in a thousand different ways)Blush

No no, this time I actually have good news!Grin

Yesterday I was trying to get dd interested in sitting down to do some drawing(for the millionth time!!)and I just assumed it would end with the usual disappointment. She never seemed to be able to hold her pen/crayon etc properly. Then I put this exercise in front of her from one of her activity books and something just seemed to click. She was tracing round letters and numbers and even managed to trace her name!!Smile I thought "I need to find a balance between striking while the iron is hot and keeping her attention". So I ask her to do some colouring in and she managed to stay in the lines(mostly).

Can't tell you how happy and proud I was and still am.

Any virtual high fives and more more than welcome. :)

coldtits · 26/01/2011 15:28

It's such a golden moment, isn't it? When they do something they haven't been able to do.

Alittleloopy · 26/01/2011 16:40

Thanks everyone.

coldtits You're right. It really is golden. Especially when you never thought it was going to happen.

She traced the whole alphabet today!! I'm starting to feel guilty that i've never properly tried this method before.

Still got a long way to go, but at least there's some light at the end of the tunnel now. :)

Thanks again everyone.
