Someone I don't know invited to CAF

We're eventually having our follow up CAF meeting from the one in May (I know, we slipped through the net Hmm). I received notice of it today and the letter has been copied to a bunch of professionals who I would agree are involved with my ds on a regular basis etc. Then there is this 1 person who I've never even heard of. A dr apparently, a community paed it says. Now, shouldn't I know if someone is involved with my son? Why would someone who as far as I know never met my ds be invited to a CAF meeting?

CAn you ring up and find out? I had one letter sent to me with the wrong GP (at a completely different practice) on the list of people it was copied to, so could be a mistake; and if it isnn't then you are entitled to know who it is!

There is usually one paediatrician who deals with all requests for assessment etc most likely will just pass it on to your paed. We have this system he is not involved but just logs the request and passes it on.

our system here is that there are teams of paeds led by a senior staff. Could it be that this paediatrician works with the named one you would have expected to attend? Have you run their name by the PCT/Hospital who's who list to see who they are?

I don't know. I know that the school nurse wanted to refer to CAHMS. Could the he be from there?

I only got the letter when I got home from work and I rang straight away but it was 4:30 on a Friday afternoon and no one answered the phone. Left a message.
