visually impaired children

i am worried about when my dd2 who is severely sight impaired starts her periods (how will she know etc) has anyone been through this with their child - does anyone have any good advice or know of a good book specifically for visually impaired children

I have no idea, we are a fair few years off this with dd3, if her vision doesn't deteriorate she may be ok. Do you have a good qtvi you could ask? There are a couple of yahoo groups, PVIC I think is a UK group, or there are a few mners who have sight impairment but they wouldn't necessarily see the sn board, general health may be a better place to ask.
