I feel so pants today :(
I'm shaky dizzy and everything hurts! I need to go to chemist and get drugs GP gave me last night. Dd2 needs to get to special school today which I have to drive to, I need her to go I need sleep and somehow need to get dd1 from school too :(
Dh is at work and just said keep dd2 at home but I'm so tired I don't think I can.

Oh no Sad.

Im just starting to feel better, i managed to shove dd1 in the car and drop her off at school this morning but i still have dd2 at home. Is there anyone who can take dd2 for you so you can go to bed? if not keep her at home, stick c-beebies on, give her a bowl of crisps and some colouring so you can curl up on the sofa and try and get some rest.

Hope you feel better soon, its hard work when you are poorly and have sn dc's to look after, yesterday was a nightmare because dh had to go back to work and dd2 was throwing up, it felt like things couldn't get any worse Sad, luckily dd2 is feeling a bit better but is now more active and is trashing the house.

DLA forms are enough to push anyone over the edge Grin, i'm still doing dd2's, i'm waiting for my mum to fill in the bit in the back (i'm sure that wasn't there last time) but she also has flu. And family fund sent my forms back because i filled them in wrong Blush.

Sometimes its hard to find time to be ill Sad.

DH is coming home at lunch to take DD2 to school and friend is collecting dd1 (but had to call Autism teacher to prepare her for that) so least I have only got to go and get dd2 at 4pm in the car and dh will be home by 6pm, then i can go back to bed.

Marne -FF online is easier for me, and also they are really helpful on phone.. Also Cerebra have people who help you fill out DLA forms (in my area anyway) www.cerebra.org.uk/parent_support/ Sorry if you already know this.
Big hugs to all stuggling today- it HAS to get better soon!! xx

Marne · 20/01/2011 10:39

This is the first time we have tried Family fund so they wouldn't let me fill it in on line, i hope we don't earn to much, if my numbers are correct we are just under.

DLA- i'm just stuck on the bit at the back where someone else has to fill in a section about dd2, i don't really have anyone else other than my mum who has regular contact with dd2 Sad, i wasn't sure if dh could fill it in or not?

Lisa- glad you managed to get something sorted and i hope you manage to get some sleep xx

AlysWho · 20/01/2011 10:44

The DLA form bit on the back i write myself and get someone else to sign it - friends/lolipop lady etc!!Dont know about hubbies tho I havent got one

Its tricky, but I hope you manage to get rest and feel better. Can the sn school arrange one of the school taxis to include dd2 if she could cope with that?

Marne · 20/01/2011 10:52

Thanks Leonie, i will fill it in and get dh to sign it Grin. We manage HRC last time but not sure if it will be as easy this time (i think we were just lucky).

lisad123isasnuttyasaboxoffrogs · 20/01/2011 13:50

Well of course both girls were out of routine at last minute dd2 not at schoolnand dd1 being collected from office by friend who was late = horrible afternoon with tears and shouting. Dh was of course late home which left me to get dinner done and girls into PJs Hmm

I'm now in bed feeling rather tearful and achey because dh used last of paracetomol and didnt tell me!

Oh I hate them days I've had one of them today,I suffer from depression and seriously some days I don't know how I coped the day before I am so so so so so so so so so soooooo tired I have 3 kids under the age of 4,my 3 year old (nearly 4) is autistic, and the other son (nearly 5) is a nutter lol,so they just fight all day then I have my little girl (age 2) who is going through the terrible twos and is really clingy! So my days are full to say The least I can't sleep while kids are at school as The boys have to be at school 830 then I have to get ds2 at 11.00 all by foot 20mins walk away, then go to pick up ds1 at 3.00.but luckily yet sadly my hub has just been made redundant along with a few other builders so next week,he will be doing the running around and his mates have offered to do The garden fencing =D,The fact his lost his job does not bother me at all I'd rather have less money than be this tired for another month!!!

rebl · 21/01/2011 16:53

I have twice been so ill I've not been able to care for the dc's. 1st time I ended up begging dh to come home. I couldn't get upright without pucking my guts up and the dc's were only about 9months old. The 2nd time my temperature was through the roof and I was delirious. I barely remember it now I was so ill. My dd (only just 4) was amazing. She got herself and ds breakfast and then went to the neighbour and asked for help for her mummy. I couldn't believe that she thought to do that.

lisad123isasnuttyasaboxoffrogs · 21/01/2011 17:27

Last time I asked for help and mum came over dd2 was 3 weeks old. I ended up in hospital for three weeks with gallstones, pancreatis and kidney failure!!

Marne · 21/01/2011 17:29

Lisa - your mum sounds like my mum Smile.

Hope your day wasnt too hard and i hope you feel better soon.

lisad123isasnuttyasaboxoffrogs · 21/01/2011 17:52

Is your mum the sort that only helps if you are about to drop dead!! Lol

OP posts:
Marne · 21/01/2011 19:38

Yes Grin and then she will only stay for 5 minutes and make things worse by getting the dd's excited.

She told her dp to stop moaning when he was ill last week, it turns out he has Pneumonia and was really poorly.

lisad123isasnuttyasaboxoffrogs · 21/01/2011 19:43

See I can never tease dh about man flu as last time I did it was cancer :(
