Ive got forms to fill in, DLA forms should have been sent off weeks ago and ment to be filling in a sleep diary for dd2.

Dd2 has been poorly for 5 days, temp has been up at 39.0 for 4 days and today she seems worse, GP has given her antibiotics but now she's being sick (so cant get antibiotics into her), dd1 is home recovering from the same illness but is full of beans, i'm too ill to take her to school and dh is at work. So i'm sat her watching Humf whilst catching vomit Sad.

That is rotten, hope this is maybe it peaking and she will turn a corner soon!

The joys! When you were young, didn't you just imagine yourself sitting watching weird little monsters whilst catching vomit? Grin
Sympathy coming your way. I had bouts of illness with the DSs before christmas and it took 3 weeks before 'normality' resumed. I was stir crazy. Even a trip to the local shop when DH came in was a welcome relief.
i'm keeping my fingers crossed that the vomiting stops, DD2 falls asleep (sleep is very healing) and that you get to change channel! Grin No idea what to do with DD1 - so maybe that scuppers that plan!

oh i hope so Fanjo, i hate seeing her like this, she seems to vomit with every illness (was sick with chicken pox before x-mas) which is not nice when i have a vomit phobia. I seem to be spending all day trying to syringe calpol, nurofen and now antibiotics into her (which takes half an hour for each), i don't even know if she really needs antibiotics, my GP seems to give them out for the sake of it and didn't mention any signs of infection. Maybe i should stop with the meds

Dd1 is glued to club penguin on the PC (so i'm stuck with the old laptop), she's been on the pc for 3 days (not sure if thats healthy) Grin.

But Marne - what are the alternatives? Grin . i think drastic times call for drastic measures. If DD1 is happy and not bouncing off the walls, everyone will get better quicker and be able to go back to a more healthy lifestyle.

Marne · 19/01/2011 10:56

True, i will try and get dd1 to school tomorrow (if dd2 is well enough to travel in the car). At least dd1 is quite and not moaning (just moaning to herself).

You poor things. Hopefully, as Fanjo said, she is peaking and will start getting better.

Really worried now, my mum has just phoned, they have had the same virus and her partner now has pneumonia (they are on there way to the hospital for a x-ray). I'm now worried that dd2 will go down the same route, her chest was clear yesterday but she was running around yesterday, now she's flat on her back.

Call your GP and ask for a home visit Marne.

Marne · 19/01/2011 12:20

Maybe i'm just panicking (i tend to do that), mums partner has been very ill for a while (flu symptoms) and he's not the most healthy of people (smokes, drinks ect..). Dd2 is now trying to eat a sandwich Grin so maybe she's not too bad. Its so hard when they can't tell you how they are feeling.

Sorry to hear your DD is still ill Marne Sad

Mine is too - 7 nights of raised temps and went up to 40 degrees again last night! Am so fed up with worrying and it affects her CP too so she is incredibly wobbly and shaky.

Lets hope they are on the mend soon - def take her back to the docs if no better today.

Marne · 19/01/2011 13:35

Smashing- i hope your dd feels better soon, dd2 is up and down, one minute she's flat out and the next she's demanding food. She's now sat on me begging for a trip to macdonalds Grin. Fingers crossed they will be better soon xx
