DD age 11 has been almost constantly ill on and off since October with Headaches, swollen glands, temperatures, rashes, sickness and aches and pains. Complaining that she can't move her arm or her fingers sometimes, finds it painful to walk around school due to pains in her legs and feet.

We have had full blood tests which have shown raised levels at various times but the last lot have come back satisfactory.

The GP thinks this could be arthritis but says its difficult to diagnose and is referring DD to a specialist.

It is always a struggle to get DD to school anyway without her complaining about how hard it it is to get dressed and undressed foe PE and how much it hurts to do PE, walk around school and write ect.

She has 3 brothers as well to get to school one having ASD and she has learning difficulties and other issues herself.

DH thinks that DD is trying it on and is less than sympathetic.

Anyway if anyone has any experience of this does it sound like it could be and if so what should I say to school (she has a 1-1 anyway) while we are awaiting the GP referral?

Hi not sure if I can be of much help but my dh was diagnosed with arthritis at 29 and a friends ds at 15 - the symptoms you are describing sound very familiar - dh struggles with lots of basic tasks such as opening jars, getting up from sitting on the floor, stairs etc - especially first thing in the morning and when it's very cold!
