'What's inside poo poo daddy? Is it bones?'

and then when dh said 'no, it's got old food in it'

ds said 'break it in half and eat the food'!

I'm close to tears. ds and dh had a 'conversation' and not only that he said 'daddy' at the end appropriately AND showed some logical thinking.

If you had told me just 4 months ago that this would happen I would never have dared hope.

Sorry for the subject matter though. I guess it shows how a child's motivation is so important.

Thats fantastic Smile and such a great topic for a boy!

lostinwales · 01/01/2011 21:12

Woo hoo, yay for you your DS and DH! And you are so right re motivation!

Goblinchild · 01/01/2011 21:14

That's why the SN board is so important, where else could you post that and get a round of applause for your DS, and for you because you deserve it.
Good logical thinking, and a two step conversation?
Happy New Year and let's hope he doesn't move on to testing his theory of recycling food. Grin

Fabulous news!

Little scallywags surprise you now and again, don't they? Smile

Eveiebaby · 01/01/2011 21:52

Yes, honestly I'm over the moon 100 times over.

These little nuggets change your perception of the future. I know he'll probably flap and ignore us for the next 6 weeks before we'll get something like that again, but I know with him that since he has done it once he WILL do it again, and I'll have to face the stress of racking my brains for a way to induce it, but still it will come because it CAN.

Really. This is the best new year.

pinkorkid · 02/01/2011 10:27

Love it! Picture star earnestly introducing poo to the conversation at every opportunity.

Master Star sounds a real sweetie and a future scientist there methinks. It's great he is making such progress.

  • and as predicted we have a non-communicative ds running back and forth making train noises not listening to a word I say............

Oh well. Guess it's one of your dc' turn! Grin
