A Good statement review

Says it all really some of the stuff was hard hearing but did also show me that ds teacher and his S&L teacher really knew ds.

There requesting quite a few changes to his staement and the wording is spot onno Lea wriggle room .And the biggie is they and the head agree that ds would benefit in being held back a year have this as his reception year, instead of year 1 as he prsents in every way physically,socially,emtionally educationally as a younger child (July birthday so one of youngest)

Lea were there and said they will look favourably on this as everyone agrees and will support it .

School are also backing me on keeping Ot half term and we would comprimise that half those visits may take place as email or phone advice .Just need get Ot TO AGREE

Just need to wait for Lea now to put in writing, but it made me feel that sending ds to the unit was the right thing for him even though has long journey

Really good news. It's good to hear of professionals being supportive - it's usually the other way round.
Make sure the LEA don't omit or add anything that wasn't said - they're little tykes.

Yeah I will and so will the teacher though to be fair the Lea orginal statement. Was not to bad it's the proffesionals reports that was wushu washy then Ot once made ot tighten up her report it went ok and Herts are not known for their statements normally except in bad way

But the teacher and the salt are very on the ball.The Lea said they will look at extra funding on top of the speech unit funding as she agreed that his needs are more even wrote them to be added to 2 and 3 where they have now identified more needs at school.This was before the head even mentioned addtional funding

Though I shall wait see what lea prodeuce before I put out the banners
