Are advanced payments set by motability or can you get better deals by shopping around?

We are due to replace our motability car, we want to get a 7 seater with the lowest possible advance payment.
The Zafira looks like the only option on the MB website.
Can you get better deals by shopping around with dealers or are the prices all set in stone.

I'm happy to go & beg & barter but just wondered if there was any chance of doing a deal.

The prices are set by motability and change every 3 months but I noticed some dealers talk about deals. We looked into it but they had no deals for 7 seaterthat looked better than motability. Check out websites of your areas bigger branded dealers - they'll have motability section on their websites.

We found ford galaxy was only one big enough.

Galaxy at the moment is about £1500. We don't have any money so looking for something of a similar size but for less (wishful thinking)
We just need a seperate row for ds2 to have some space, he can't cope if anyone else is next to him, he's kind of OK with ds1 next to him but if he has a friend in the car he gets anxious & upset. We've tried working on it but its not getting any better.

We also need enough boot space for his w/chair.

We'll keep looking and call the dealers

Citroen C4 Grand Picasso was our first motability car (we have a Kia Sedona WAV now)
the Citroen is slightly bigger than the Zafira with 3 full size seats in the second row rather than the 2 and a half that the Zafira has, ds's wheelchair fitted in the boot and the Citroen starts at £695 just now if thats any use?
