Urine test for casein problems in ASD children

Where do I get it from and do you have to pay for it?

Also I am a bit concerned it won't be that accurate cos I read casein breaks down in 4-5 hours and there's no way the sample will get there in the post in that time.

You do have to pay - it was £60 when we did it nearly 4 years ago. Talk to them, though, as they are very understanding about payment plans as I understand it.

You get a huge questionnaire to fill out, and a kit to store the sample - you freeze the sample, and they sendd an insulated jiffy bag etc.

But they still say to only send when the post is clear, so you might be looking at the New Year now, as once the snow clears we're into the Christmas delays too.

Ah I see so the freezing is supposed to stop it from breaking down too quickly?

I guess so. They still (iirc) say not to post on a Friday, for eg, as will be too late by the Monday, and def not if a Bank holiday and stuff.

I think the jiffy bag is marked as a medical sample (but not sure, can't remember), so Royal Mail prioritises it, supposedly.

Give them a call - they are really helpful, and will advise you on best course of action (if anyone is actually in this week due to snow!)
