I am so happy that I just had to share it. My ds2, who has hypotonia, is now 11 months old and today he managed to grip something. A giraffe with wheels on that you can pull along that belongs to dd - he reached out and gripped the neck. Hurrah! It's the first step!

That is so lovely, can I shed a tear? Those milestones are so extra special aren't they? x

Thanks everyone Smile

It's been a wonderful day for ds2. Once he'd managed to grip, he kept trying and he's been doing really well. I've spent all day encouraging him with various objects (although he seems to like gripping on to my hair best! Grin)

Smallmonkfish - that's so true about the milestones. With ds2 I notice every little thing, every muscle as it were. With my other children I suppose I took so much for granted I didn't notice some things. With ds2 every little bit of progress is special.
