DD (5) ASD, has previously seemed to understand days of the week but struggles with the concept of time. This week I said we are 'going out tomorrow', the next day I mentioned going out and DD still sees it as 'tomorrow'...it never becomes today. We mention activities on a 'tuesday' to give her a sense of time and structure but she just seems to forget tuesday has passed and obsesses over doing the activity on tuesday...so every tuesday. :( Her comprehension seems to be getting worse and she is recollecting activities from months ago...even still mentioning her birthday and party like it is every week. DD also seems to take at least a week to process activities in school, Im getting very worried that we never seem to move on, time never passes. I told her when Christmas was 6 weeks ahead but she is reluctant to move on from that...countdowns arent working. She eats breakfast then asks foe breakfast again and again all morning and gets very anxious. I noticed this week she is very pale and confused...is it regression? Is it just normal for her? We just finished antibiotics for a urine infection but she is well otherwise...I think.
We use visuals but she just doesnt seem to be learning...just obsessing and repeating. Any advice??? Am I just being a worry wort? Is there anything I can do?
Sorry for the long rant!
