We appear to be having our own private display of fighter jets today. (been aorund for the last few hours)

DS1 does not do aeroplanes in any shape or form at the moment. Any plane = screaming, headbanging, howling etc.

He will be arriving home within 1/4 hour.

Do a jet removing wardance or something for me please.

Oh JJ that's ALL you need. Sending very strong vibes your way to make planes go somewhere else. Begone foul jets!

macwoozy · 21/09/2005 15:41

Sorry, don't know the moves of a war dance I hope the display doesn't last too long, what a nightmare!

Sad

you could start playing the cello moozo - that might work

anniebear · 21/09/2005 18:01

Jimjams...what happened??????

Jimjams · 21/09/2005 19:30

It worked - they went away 5 mins before he arrived home. So he was free to get pissed off with the shiny show (no idea why he loved it last week)

Pleased for you!!

QueenOfQuotes · 21/09/2005 20:34

SleepyJess · 21/09/2005 20:35

I get pissed off with the Shiny Show so he's not alone JimJams!!

Perhaps they were using your house for target practice.. they do that you know. .(not specifically YOUR house.. but they do choose one.. they zoom in from Cumbria and pick randomly.. I saw it on some programme on Sky...! )

Ohm ohm with you. Good luck.
Ignore if this is a crap suggestion but would he let you put ear plugs in his ears. I have fab soft foam ones from the chemist which drown out lots of noise.

Those darn planes! I bet you have fun on fireworks night.

Jimjams · 21/09/2005 20:39

they were probably doing some naval exercise. Happens occasionally. He won't tolerate ear plugs. He doesn;t mind fireworks just sticks his fingers in his ears. He used to love planes- would actually show us tiny ones in the distance. Suddenly overnight, flipped and now we get screams. Forgot to warn school when new term started and they had a shock

happymerryberries · 21/09/2005 20:41

Oh hell, dh is involved in an excercise atm....he is still in work....I hope he isn't partly responsible

Jimjams · 21/09/2005 20:41

pmsl - is he near me? Or would you have to shoot me if you answered that! Tell him it's fine provided they clear off at 3.40pm as they did today!

Jimjams · 21/09/2005 20:43

tbh he's better with jets than little pleasurew planes. We cleared a playground at the weekend when one flew overhead (seriously we did clear it- all these people had just arrived and they immediately left!)

happymerryberries · 21/09/2005 20:45

We are quite a long way away from you but the AWACs migh be involved in co-ordinating it. tbh he isn't in the air for this one, but is co-ordinating it.

Soz if he is to blame

happymerryberries · 21/09/2005 20:46

And at least the AWAcs is notmaly very high, but responsible for directing the low level jobs!

Jimjams · 21/09/2005 20:47

oh I thought you meant he may have nipped down here
Ahhh if he;s coordinating it then you can tell him he has t finish my 3.40

OP posts:
happymerryberries · 21/09/2005 20:50

ah, but then i would have to kill you

happymerryberries · 21/09/2005 20:52

Thinking about it they are finishing at 1 ish tomorrow, so if it was them they should be done in time for tea and medals

Jimjams · 21/09/2005 21:06

As long as they don't start before 8.50
