Did MN delete my email about SOS SEN?

Seriously where is it?

As many of you are about to embark on the tribunal journey I posted helpfully of a couple of workshops that SOS SEN are running shortly on appealing a final statement and ceasing to maintain a statement.

My ONLY reason for posting was because these workshops are invluable for many of us here for whom the system is stacked against and I would thoroughly recommend them.

I'm bloody cross if MN have removed this potential life line and information that comes with it.

SOS SEN are a charity and their volunteers don't even charge expenses. They punch above their weight and MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

Have a look on their website if you want to find out about their workshops. They are also requesting that people vote for them for the chance to win some funding.

MN, if you are going to delete this thread too, please have the decency to contact me and tell me why.

There is a campaign feel about the board at the moment and this organisation is of the same ethos and FREE at point of use.

was it one asking people to vote?
I know I reported one today as mn hq delete them.
not sure if that is what you are talking about though

Did your previous thread look like advertising?

That could be why, especially if SOS SEN make a charge for their services.

StarkAndWitchesWillFindYou · 17/11/2010 15:25

No, SOS SEN are a FREE service who's volunteers pay their own expenses because they are so apalled at the SEN system that they want the children to benefit from any fundraising. They are asking people to vote for them

HERE

So that they can offer for FREE their services to more people.

They are a charity that lots of people on this board have used and would recommend and understand and help with the kinds of battles we are talking about every day.

It seems really odd that MN would pull it. FWIW I never used their services and don't volunteer for them and have absolutely NO interest in their campaign other than my utter respect for what they are trying to do.

I sought their input and help but they were simply snowed under and were unable to do much for me due to resource issues. But their attitude and effort to try impressed me and reminded me much of the people on this board, with their determination and resiliance.

It was just mean to take down that previous thread, and deprive SN MNers of something great that can support our battles FOR FREE!!

And if MNHQ had properly looked into it, they would see that I have never ever EVER advertised ANYTHING!

I only give information.

well can't be the one I reported as that was some vote for something thing, so have no idea

StarkAndWitchesWillFindYou · 17/11/2010 15:35

Yes, I have put the vote thing in this one too. They want votes to the Royal Bank of Scotland Charity so that they can get more money to help more people.

Nothing wrong with putting voting requests on. There are millions of these on MN.

Well Stark, I have used their services and they are really helpful and a lot of their volunteers are people who have benefitted from their services.

Their tribunal course is very helpful and certainly help me understand the system more. It also made me feel less helpless - especially if you can't pay for legal advice all the way.

Only wish I live closer to London so I can volunteer with them later.

As a measure of how helpful they are, I was told by someone from the LA to think carefully before following their advice (and IPSEA) as they are very aggressive.

StarkAndWitchesWillFindYou · 18/11/2010 16:42

Yes, I have been told to think about whether I need their help. They are real justice fighters and keep going, and keep going and get 'outraged' at just about anything - LOL.

They are an impressive charity.
