well i think i am.

after last going to one as a parent 5yrs ago, and the CDC saying afterwards dd2 was fine, i have never gone back to one (except as a face painter for one recently).

but think i might be ready to face it all again.

Good luck - I love mine and find it really helpful just as a break if nothing else.

thank you.

not sure what i am expecting, but would like to meet parents of girls on the 'milder' end who are dx later iyswim. as dd2 fits into life well, but has been hard getting her to this point.

Have you been yet? What was it like? My dd was diagnosed 3 weeks ago with ASD. After leaving the clinic in complete and utter shock I came home & buried the NAS pack they gave me under the darkest corner of the bed & haven't taken it out since. Suspect it will take me at least 5 years to pull my head out of the sand Confused

its tomorrow morning.

dd2 hasnt got a dx as yet, but is fully supported at school, with social skills groups etc etc.

Ooo good luck. My DD (8) also at milder end, I think, though I'm sure the ADOS report will correct me if I'm wrong. Know what you mean about "hard getting her to this point"

it wasnt until i went to the school with concerns as dd2 was having a depressive spell and reallly went into her shell, that they noticed things werent right.

since then they have been noticing more of her quirks, dislike of change, how upset she gets if things change etc etc. i think as she has gotton older its gotton more obvious iyswim.

she is extremely bright and articulate, which is a bonus as she has intensive SALT for 2years as couldnt be understood. she does stil lgets moment of incoherance, but only when upset.
