Can anyone help me find an ABA Consultant in Essex

Hi,

Firstly apologies if I have posted this incorrectly as first time on mumsnet :)

My 2 year old son has just been diagnosed by the ADOS assessment as being on the ASD spectrum. A bit of a loss as to what to do but we are having the urine test done by Sunderland and have gone GF as an initial step.

I have read positive things about ABA therapy and would like to find a consultant but don't know where to start. Need to find someone in Essex. Can anyone recommend how I can find someone, or let me know of their experience of ABA or any alternative therapy?

Would be interested to hear from anyone with any advise really - I feel like I am drowning in random information through googling and have no direction!

Have also heard of account of heavy metal detoxing being helpful???

ABA consulatant is my number one priority at the mo though.

I can recommend Margaret Anderson (Autism: Learning and Development) who is based in Essex, near Colchester area for our dd2, now in school.

meant to say we used her with dd2 (ASD) for two years on an ABA programme. DD2 is now in full time school with support and although she still has many difficulties, I believe it has made a massive contribution to her progress and development. We didn't do a full time programme. ABA supervisor very flexible and honest with us about dd2.
