Perhaps a bit too much info for some but am really excited. Ds1 has so many problems and is really severely autistic so I actually thought he would never get to this stage. We are far from being toilet trained but it is a massive step forward for someone who wouldn't even sit on the toilet for months.

Great News ! There are many stages I thought ds would never get to ! One massive step for mankind !

ouryve · 09/11/2010 18:44

Oh that is brilliant! Hoping it's a sign of more to come! :o

We celebrated DS2's first wee on the loo, the other day, but he's half your DS's age.

Lougle · 09/11/2010 18:52

Wow, that must feel so special Smile well done him!

TheLifeOfRiley · 09/11/2010 18:55

Oh wow that is wonderful! You must be soo excited Smile
It's one of those things you hope they will tackle but also daren't get too hopeful of isn't it? My DS still isn't full toilet trained either.

Hope it's the start of continuing progress for him Smile

patienceplease · 09/11/2010 20:22

Brilliant news!
My DS is NT but had real issues with toilet training - and when he (very late) finally started using other people's loos I was telling everybody! They never seemed to appreciate my excitement!
It is a huge achievement for you both!

5inthebed · 09/11/2010 20:37

That is so exciting. Excellent news! Wel done him Grin

eatyourveg · 09/11/2010 20:40

That's really great news. I hope you celebrated with him.

cansu · 09/11/2010 20:48

Thanks everyone. I knew that you would all appreciate it was a big deal! Yes, we did have a glass or three of wine to celebrate. I think ds1 was rather confused by my telling him how great he is, he was giggling away to himself though.
