I posted on SNteens but no replies, my relative is looking for anon info/ideas, an overview really. I hope you can help. :)

Have you tried Connexions? Am at this stage myself but have not really found out much.
Does depend on the needs. Lots of Colleges do a sort of life skills course, but it isn't the level at which my DS is at.
Where is s/he at the moment? Have they any ideas?

Im not in this position myself, just looking for others experiences for a research paper. I think I worded it badly. Hmm

I'm approaching there now, have found Connexions absolutely clueless, the LEA non committal and trying to find a placement with enough support more or less impossible.

As asdx2: Connexions not doing anything. Have read all the stuff in the SEN Toolkit and none of it has happened really. It seems as though we are on our own. DS has had contact with the careers person at school so have emailed her today for advice but she only works part time.
