my daughter is 18months old and is disabled up to a few days she would only drink milk out of bottle but now she will not even drink that, i have tried giving her water, juice, milkshake etc in bottle beakers, cups with straw. just wondering if anyone has any suggestions how to get her to drink anything.

Depends on why she doesn't want to drink. Is she unwell? Is it a sensory issue? A long tie ago when y little boy was without his feeding tube for a very short period of time ( been tube fed all of his life) I used plastic pipettes and put the fluid in his outh at the side of his dummy. It wasn't really eating or drinking and it did take a LONG time but it did go in.

Probably not what you want to hear but have you had her checked by GP or hosp. If she isn't drinking at all or eating wet foods ( yoghurt/soup etc etc) then she may be at risk of dehydrating.

Good luck xx

Have you tried a Doidy cup?
My Ds quite often forgets how to use a bottle when he's poorly and suffering from lower muscle tone than normal, and puts his tongue underneath the teat instead of above it, so I use a Doidy cup until he's feeling better. It's slow, but he does take in some milk/ water.

I don't know if your daughter's situation is the same as my son's, but it might be worth a go?
