Sensory seeking behaviour following a bout of illness

Hi everyone, just wondering if any of you have experienced this with your kids. DS (4) has chickenpox. Despite being over the worst of it, his sensory seeking is now off the chart.
He is also testing the boundaries big style but think thats just him being 4!

DS2 has just gotten over a nasty bout of stomach flu (we've all had it so our routine has been blown apart, which has caused some interesting meltdowns Hmm). He is absolutely all over the place. The usual phrases and calming strategies just blow past him and seem to have no effect. He always seems like this when he's been ill, and it does seem to take him days to get back into a reliable rhythm again, if that makes sense.

yes that does make sense!
