My DS has recently been diagnosed with mild ASD & ADHD. His teacher has suggested a weighted lap pad to use in school may help improve his concentration and discourage him from fidgiting and moving around the classroom when he should be working.
I'm sure when I have been surfing the web before I saw weighted pads designed for specifically for kids that were like cuddly toys e.g dog, snake or dinosaur, but I can't seem to find them now.
Has anyone seen anything similar or was I imagining them ??
Are these sort of thing any good ?? Has anyone bought a lap pad for their DC ?? If so where did you get it from ??
