DS' special developmental pre-school will probably be going due to the cuts.

It isn't definite yes but it is very likely.

So much for taking care of disabled people.

Provision is shite and hard enough to access without this Angry

Do you know who the provision is funded by?

If the news is bad you need to find other parents in teh same place and go in hard- there will be soem aplces that survive the cull and it will be the oens getting +++ publicity: so local press, posters, whatever. Shout.

DS3's school has already survived one attempt to cull it and I dread teh next review becuase there's nowhere else I am happy for him to attend tbh. Ive already spoken to a parent or two that feels the same and we have agreed a battle plan if it comes off (and I will happily chain myself to the gates)

Thanks Sancti. It is difficult because it is a group with two staff to a maximum of five children who often have to have time off for appointments. So not many people at all.

Good for you with DS3's school Smile

oh no Sad
My DS1 had a 12 week stint in a development nursery with similar ratios to yours and it was really good. Even more so as we are v rural and they ran it at the local clinic so was accesible to those in the area. The main CDC would be an complete pig to get to if you didn't drive and tbh the parking was a nightmare even if you could!

I'm angry but really not surprised either. Was quite astounded that the lovely staff felt that Dave should know better. As if.

It's based in the local baby clinic / child development centre where the paeds are so NHS funded Sancti.

Sounds like the main one near you PolarEyes with the nightmare parking!
