she will be fine

good luck to dd2.

If she really is too high functioning to be there then after a term or two they will probably transition her back to mainstream

but in the meantime she will get specialist support.

The girls in DS' special pre-group are there because of developmental delay. They could well be autistic or on their way to a dx, I don't know, just that they haven't had a specific dx yet. So I wouldn't worry about that Smile

If anything this is a good opportunity for your daughter's teachers to gather evidence. I'm always amazed by how little escapes their notice. They often see things I haven't because it is intense. Five children, two staff and usually no more than three children attend a session for one reason or another so it's great in that respect.

Really hope she gets on well. Weill be thinking of you!

lisad123isgoingcrazy · 11/10/2010 14:27

I hope your pick up is fantastic, Lisad x

lisad123isgoingcrazy · 11/10/2010 16:55

was all good I think. They said they were very impressed with her matching skills and there was only one mishap when another child had a toy that she wanted. She clearly had a busy and tiring day as she is currently on the tampoline screaming at her sister for bouncing Hmm
