Hi,
I have concerns for my 5yr old son his teacher has just suggested having someone from SEN observe him in the class as he can not sit still at carpet time or in assembly and this is starting to affect his learning.
At home he finds it hard to sit still he fidgets and jumps around all the time he may sit down to what a dvd this is the only time he may be still, he has started chasing and hitting children in the playground at school, and he still has screaming tantrums sometimes when he becomes obsessed with things like his socks or shoes not fitting properly.
He complains of upset tummy quite often and suffers from mild eczema, i dont know what to do to help him or where to start, any advice please.

Get to the GP and ask for a referral to the community paediatrician. I don't think anyone here would like to hazard a guess of what he's presenting. SN is such a massive area.

You need to do this asap.

Hope that helps.

Second Spinkle's advice. List all your concerns to the GP and ask for a referral to a paed.

Let the school to observations, meanwhile as above via your GP. My ds2 has dx of ADHD.
