Look someone is going to have to come up with clever titles :o as I'm a bit rubbish..
Drinks and nibbles on the table folks.. Help yourselves :)

well my week was all over the place this week.. I am officially emotionally drained.

However.. In my heart I'm up for a giggle.. Not sure my body will follow through.
Ds2 got his own back in rugby on a long term bully.. And it being what he should have been doing .. It was of great satisfaction to him..( although I have visions of the run and tackle looking a bit like a daddylong legs banging into a lampshade with a pheobe from friends run mixed in :o)

and he was asked out by a girl today.. He said no.. But. Was pleased he was asked.

Dagnamit, gave ds2 the last orange about an hour ago. Thanks for the tip though.

Feels odd going forwards after spending so long pushing against that invisible immovable barrier. I feel kind of unsettled and unable to stand down and rest for a bit, even though I really need to. Hopefully the relief part will come soon.

TheArsenicCupCake · 08/10/2010 20:17

I did say put orange on ulcer and ice on the bleeding leg didn't I? ( mad thoughts of stemming the flow of blood with an orange segment whizzing through my head !:))

seriously if it's bleeding lots can you call an ambulance if you cantget anyone to help out?..

Sorry you are feeling so poorly 5inthebed.

Ds2 has had two vomiting viruses resulting in two impactions in less than three weeks and in the middle of all that ds1 caught the bug and dd (20 months) broke her wrist - madness! Nothing worse than feeling ill yourself and having to deal with sicky children as well.

Hope you feel better really soon.

moosemama · 08/10/2010 20:23

Thanks TACC, will do my best. Smile

silverfrog · 08/10/2010 20:32

ooh, ta 5inthebed - will check my inbox Grin

knee was keyhole. his surgeon thinks he may have split the stitches, and he should eb seen.

bleeding moderate-heavy. he's bled through the dressing, heavy bandages (op only done yesterday) and his clothes.

at bedtime, we both noticed a big smear fo blood on dd1's bed - cue us both checking frantically to see whether either girl had bumped/scratched/clawed an eye out

then we realised the most likely person to be bleeding was dh Blush (0/10 for observation there - i wouldn't win the Krypton Factor, would I?)

he's just gone in a taxi (faints at the thought of the cost - he's ended up being sent to A&E 25 miles away. guess I'll not be seeing him back in a hurry

thefirstmrsDeVere · 08/10/2010 20:33

Can I just say

DS has been invited to a party tommorow Grin
The first one ever from school (he is in year 3). I wonder if its anything to do with him now being in SNS rather than MS Hmm

We are also going to DR WHO LIVE on Sunday so he may be in tiny little peices by Monday morning Grin

TheArsenicCupCake · 08/10/2010 20:42

Oh gawd at the taxi fair .. But :o at observational skills.. I would have checked the dc's first too :o

Yay on first party invite :o that is a little bit cooooool.. However I do not wish to be you on Monday morning! :o

How exciting MrsD! Hope he has lots of fun.

SF, 25 miles Shock. Costly taxi, but rth it is your DH gets seen to.

Can't decide whether to go to bed or not.

moosemama · 08/10/2010 20:47

Its good that he's going to be seen silverfrog, but have to go Shock at A&E on Friday night as well. Hopefully it'll still be early enough for him to miss the general drunken mayhem though.

tfmDV, that's lovely. What a fantastic weekend your ds is going to have. Ds1 has been invited to a sleepover party at the beginning of November. Shock I daren't think about it. Its his one and only friend, who has stuck by him since nursery and is such a lovely, lovely friend to him. His are the only parties ds has ever been invited to as well. (He is in year 4 now.)

Scarier than that, is that he has asked to go on the school outward bounds weekend next April! Shock He said no initially, but changed his mind when his friend said he was going. Hmm Now that I really can't bear to think about, without feeling like I'm going to faint. Blush I half hoped the school might say he couldn't go, but they seem to be ok with it. Thing is, if they had said he couldn't go, I would have been up in arms about discrimination and fought them on it. Talk about conflicting emotions/interests. Confused

TheArsenicCupCake · 08/10/2010 20:48

Got a good book or a laptop? If so I'd be in the in bed camp.
From your thread you do not sound well :(

silverfrog · 08/10/2010 20:50

oh, i hope your ds enjoys it, Mrsdevere. How lovely - the first of many for him, hopefully Smile

dh needs patching up - he has to be there on sunday to cheer dd1 on (and provide support for me when I collapse with exhaustion Blush

5inthebed - have you had your pizza yet? can't go to bed before pizza Shock

hope you feel better soon

5inthebed · 08/10/2010 20:53

I could take laptop to bed I suppose.

I've had my pizza, and feel worse for it. grrrr

SF, I donated on your daughters page, although not showing yet Hmm

Right, I'm off to bed, night all x

TheArsenicCupCake · 08/10/2010 20:53

Moose that is scary! Ds went on a residential last year .. He had a fab time.. And was fine.. However the teachers in charge of him asked me with worn out voices if I had time to recharge my batteries! Which made me smile...
We have a day trip out with secondary next week and you know I'm less sure of him going on that tbh.. ( he'll be left to his own devices somewhat).. But he wants to go so I need to let him.

TheArsenicCupCake · 08/10/2010 20:54

hi5 do I chance catchin the lurgy when we meet x plus the thought of all that blood and a trip to a&e had me packing! jj im on the ritual countryside drive!!

moosemama · 08/10/2010 21:08

Night 5inthebed.

TACC, what worries me is that the Head emphasised that the purpose of the weekend is to build independence and self-organisational skills, neither of which are ds's strong points. He said they will have to check their schedules and make sure they are in the right place at the right time for each activity, with all the relevant equipment and appropriate clothing. I can just imagine ds turning up for rock-climbing in his swimming trunks! Grin

And that's before I even start worrying about how a child with dyspraxia and ASD is going to cope with doing various, mountaineering, caving, death-sliding, kayaking, raft-building and other highly physical exercises that require a good level of concentration and coordination - let alone being able to swim! Shock

devientenigma · 08/10/2010 21:30

I'm back from my drive and on dd laptop!! I take it 5 when to bed ill but ate all the pizza!!
Enjoy the DLA arsnic, I'm supposed to be sorting the paperwork and parental views for annual statement.
What's death sliding, moose??

moosemama · 08/10/2010 21:52

This is death sliding! Shock Why on earth are they all smiling? Confused
