I've been ill all day, picked up D&V bug off DS2 who had it yesterday and is off school as a result. Not only did DH piss off to work, but he is taking his mam shopping afterwards, so won't be in until 6/7 o'clock. I called my mam in desperation as was being sick every hour and not keeping anything down. She took DS3 but not DS2 as she can't cope with him. So I've had to run around after him, with him banging on the toilet door oblivious to how I'm feeling because he wanted a yoghurt.

Nobody wants DS2 when I really need them to Sad

Anyone else having a crap day?

Yep.

I thought as uni students, everyone in my year would be capable of watching a film with two deaf characters in but NOOO once one of the characters spoke the imitations came thick and fast :( As did an awful name that was used to describe deaf people, which fortunately my lecturer pulled them up on.

Actually had to talk to my lecturer after as I was really upset about it. I know a lot of people with various disabilities and it just infuriated me that even after my last film, and a film about hearing dogs being made by a girl in our year, people still thought this sort of thing was acceptable!

I stupidly thought we were all adults but no, some of us need to grow up still.

Sorry, probably not the kind of bad day you meant but it took the shine off mine a bit.

How horrid Violet Sad

It is hard, but DS1, my little rock, is home now and helping by playing with DS2 so I can sit.

Glad your DS1 is helping, he sounds a lovely lad :) Yeah, it's not nice, especially since I've got my sight issues, makes me mad more than anything. Although does drive me to try and educate them, just a bit.

He is a little godsend. He is only 7 but has such a wise head on his shoulders.
