I applied at the end of May shortly after DS turned three. They did not contact me before this despite their letter saying they would.
I received no confirmation letter to say that they were dealing with the claim and had to keep ringing until finally (in August) I was told it was with the decision maker.
We moved house in June but whenever I asked them to check that they had the new address I was told that their Data Protection policy meant that they couldn't tell me which address they had registered
Today I rang because it has been over 13 weeks and I was concerned that a letter had gone to the wrong address (despite having Royal Mail redirection) and I would not be able to request an appeal in time.
Was told that it was rejected at the beginning of the month and a "copy" of the decision would be sent to me.
Apparently this time
there will be a note made on the system to confirm that I didn't know about it until today.
I don't believe them.
DH thinks this catalogue of errors will look good when we come to tribunal but I'm starting to think it was a deliberate attempt to throw a spanner in the works and we might never get an appeal now
Thoughts and advice welcome...
