what are they?

willowthecat · 29/09/2010 12:31

I have just googled them and found out that they are very smooth socks for children sensitive to footwear. What I need to know though is are they 'unrippable' ?
DS has developed an annoying habit of pulling threads out of his socks and ruining them !

I'd love to buy them for my girls but they are far too expensive. Would love to know if you can get them cheaper anywhere else.

isw · 29/09/2010 13:51

We use them under AFOs, excellent in warm weather to stop them getting wrinkly feet.

Why is everything so expensive sigh

may be a very stupid idea but cant you buy the long colourful socks from the market (sort the teens wear) and turn them inside out to stop seams hurting??

Al1son · 29/09/2010 23:24

Unfortunately that would mean you were using the socks wrong so whether they felt better or not would be irrelevant. Wearing them inside out is not wearing them how they were intended and it therefore impossible (apparently Smile)

any of these any good??

here

Are they ever! They look fab and the children's one appear to be only £1.25 a pair!

Thanks Lisa Smile

your welcome Grin

Sorry not be on here for a couple of days. Unfortunately its the wicking (sp?) properities we need to stop her feet getting sweaty as they are cased in plastic. Like small, seamless walking socks

Got excited there for a moment...... and then realised they are like ankle socks, so no use for dd under her AFOs :(

isw · 09/10/2010 11:49

PheasantPlucker - the smartknits are knee high and fab under AFOs but expensive
