Ds being sick but only in evenings?

This is the 3rd night running now, vomiting either just before bed or waking up and vomiting. Not been sick through the day, no runny poo or temp or anything.

Just then he stood up, looked really vacant and vomited all over himself...His appetite is fine too.

Seems really odd to me Hmm any ideas?

DS2 does this and I saw his paed and he was unconcerned. He tought it may be nasal dripping making him sick as he coughed before he vomitted and suggested saline nasal drops. DS2 wouldn't let me administer the drops (surprise surprise), so we are still stuck with him doing it.

I thought he had picked up some sort of bug to be honest and have kept him off school, now I don't know what to do. It just seems really odd, he isn't coughing beforehand or anything.

He just looked a bit dazed, stood up and then vomited.

Oh right. Not sure really then. DS1 (NT) was sick twice through the night last week though and was fine otherwise, so perhaps there is something going around?

Dd1 does this periodically. at one point I thought it might be baths that might be the problem (dd1 water phobia)

When it does happen, she does exactly that - vomits in the evening/early hours, always 3 times through night, and always for 3 days at a time. It's really weird.

She hasn't done it for a while though.

Sorry, not much help, just wanted to say it happens with us too!

Thanks both of you. Smile

What do you think then...send him to school tomorrow? Or keep him off again (Today he seemed totally fine all day)

Urgh, I'm crap at other peoples decisions. I'd say keep him off, but only because I think the 48 hours off thing should be stuck to.

Oh, tricky one.

I now have an agreement with dd1's school that if she is ill due to periodic vomiting, rather thqn actually ill (can tell the difference due to clockwork tidings!) then I can send her in once she is past her last bout of vomiting.

But dd1's school is tiny, and totally set up to be one to one, so isolating her from others is not a problem anyway (although goes without saying that if she is actually ill she stays home until recovered)

Ds1 did this too on the half term before the summer holidays. It was so weird especially as he doesn't ever physically be sick.

He was just stood next to me fine as anything and then threw up. He then woke up every night for 4 nights, got distressed threw up and then promptly went back to sleep. Was weird but thought it may be a bug because ds2 started doing the same.

Mmmm not sure what to do

Thanks all Smile
