DS1 has a Sensory Integration OT assessment next week! He was referred in JANUARY, the OT has been off sick forever and a day, I phoned twice a week but gave up about a month ago, anyway, I rang today, she is back, not apparently working through the lists in any meaningful way! Just asked when we'd like to see her.
I hope it's worth the wait, we really need some OT support, so very excited now! I expect she has a magic wand and the day after the appointment I'll be able to cut DS1's nails, wash his hair and get his eye drops in, no worries. 
Or more realistic expectations.
