ds1 has always gone to his new school by taxi. Today he changed to one of the buses. And when he got on I suddenly felt really tearful. He looked so little.

Took me by surprise- weird how these things come out of nowhere.

Also a bit bemused as I've sent him in in t-shirt and shorts (jumper in bag) and everyone else seemed to be wearing trousers and coat!

I was so worried as Ellie came home on the bus for the first time yesterday.

I waited around by the fron door and felt really nervous

and after she had came in, I cried!!!!

??????

I was suprised that I actually had a little cry

Weird eh?!!

...but how did it go??? Did he seem happy???

Jimjams · 07/09/2005 19:05

bus seemed fine. I warned them he might freak if they stopped to let someone off (he did on the way back). He's the last pick up on the way there so no problems going in.

Seems happy to be back at school, and is shattered -major meltdown tonight.

Ah, bless! DD starts school the week after next but a taxi turned up on Tuesday anyway! The guy looked so stressed (only one child in the cab and it was 8.55) I almost let him take DD just to cheer him up. Plus the taxi-coordinator phoned up to tell me he would be taking 'Oliver' to school !

I didn't cry on Lotties first day of school and I was so pleased, and a bit surprised. But on day 2 as I dropped her off big fat tears sprung into my eyes!

Kids in school uniforms aye, they just seem to make them look really, really small

He doesn't really have a uniform as such (different coloured t shirt for each day of the week, we do have some school ones- but any will do.) The bus just looked wide.

PMSL jakb- hardly inspires confidence
